You must give way to all pedestrians on a pedestrians crossing on your side of the road, this includes all lanes not just the lane that you are driving in. If it is [say] 2 lanes.

If you are at traffic lights and are turning, when you have a green light you can move up to the pedestrian crossing [if safe to do so] and wait for the pedestrians to clear, than move off.

When you are driving in a shared zone with pedestrians you must give way to any pedestrians.
